More into his traditional boom bap and bars than the mainstream predecessor, but just about the same quality.
The production starts out very interesting. It feels like too much is going on. It does get more standard and relaxed as the album goes on but I wouldn't consider it to be anything special. I also got to respect Kweli for putting rappers on here that are up to his skill level. Talib raps about as well as his previous few albums, maybe a tad better.
This is probably both one of my favorite hiphop LPs that ive discovered in a long time and one of the most underrated at that, the production in the first half is absolutely amazing and even if it does fall off a bit in the second half its still above average, how does this only have a 70 in user ratings bro yall trippin
