Although some of their best songs are on this album, the amount of wandering, vague and unnecessary songs is not overlookable. El Ciervo Vulnerado, Meccamputechture and Tetragrammaton (that should be 10min shorter to be really enjoyable) are huge, pretentious tracks that were supposed to elevate this album to higher grounds, but only do bring it's overall quality down, to a point that it gets rather difficult to listen to this record in one seat. This album is definitely more latin-influenced than any other thing this band has put out. While it does contain some of their best tracks, the album is a mixed bag with some average songs and just lasts way too long as a whole. And this is coming from someone who loved the 1 hour and 30 minute 'Frances the Mute.' I do love it when Cedric sings in Spanish. Wish we could have heard more of that throughout their career.

Favourite tracks: Tetragrammaton, Asilos Magdalena, Day of the Baphomets

This album is really a work of genius. The only reason it doesn't get 100 is because there is little to no accessibility it takes a few listens to "get" this album but once you do there is no going back.
