How to Dress Well is to my mind the biggest breakthrough in home-recorded lo-fi in years. It feels brave, like it's going places a lot of artists in this sphere are afraid to go.

Love Remains has no established coherence, disrespects the meaning of creating a full length from scratch by (reworking?) rehashing material, and frankly, relies too much on Krell’s scorching falsettos

This is one hard album to listen to...
I feel like there is a sum of elements here that made this album nearly unlistenable to me. The first thing, or element, which seems to be the most obvious, is the recording. This sounds like Tom Krell was recording this using his phone or something, and it does not sound good at all. The second thing that I hate about this album is the way that Tom sings. Sleep, dreamy, epic, thought processing music. So unique, and so interesting it makes you love it. I listen to this album all the time, tracks like Body, Suicide Dream 2, etc/
