But they shouldn't get too excited, either-- III/IV is a fine collection of outtakes, but chances are Adams' magnum opus is still forthcoming.
It’s a little disappointing coming from parties most celebrated for the moonlit country-rock of 2005’s Cold Roses and Jacksonville City Nights, and 2007’s Easy Tiger, which came out of the same sessions as III/IV.
But as it stands, it’s too plain and middle-of-the-road to qualify as one of Ryan Adams’ best works.
