No Colors showcases a band who knows exactly who they are and feels completely comfortable in their sound, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible for a two-piece.
Even if The Dodos haven’t attempted anything they didn’t try before, it certainly plays well to their strengths.
No Color counts a trim nine tracks to its name and, as such, shares the brisk, crispness of its monochrome album art.
No Color isn't quite the knockout Visiter was, but it's a logical step in trying to advance beyond the untamed but thrilling sprawl of the past without slamming the door on it.
Despite all of its interesting eccentrics, this disc is fairly monochromatic.
