When they’re in top form, they’re among the best at moving speakers and feet in hip hop.

AllMusic

The coming-of-age and kinetic SremmLife reminds listeners that jumping into "poppa's chair" was a thrilling mix of pride and new opportunities, plus, the album doubles as a guaranteed party soundtrack.

Rolling Stone
Producer Mike Will Made It's phantasmagoric funk is a perfect backdrop for rhymes about safe sex and paychecks, emptying out the ATM, and the raw thrill of making it big.
80
Complex
Never faltering toward the monotony of most Migos hooks or the allegedly artistic boredom of late-stage Future, the boys from Tupelo are grit and grease, energetic in both cases, an uncanny synthesis of Rich Gang and Ke$ha.

NOW Magazine

Despite Rae Sremmurd's rep for hyped-up celebration songs, the album's best moment comes when Lee and Jimmy eschew cranking up for something closer to cutesy romance.

78
Pitchfork

Though a few songs stretch out an interesting idea too far, SremmLife is a showcase of an electric new talent paired with all the trappings of a bigtime major label debut.

76
Sputnikmusic
As such, despite their subpar lyricism, the duo is a perfect match for Williams’ maximalist beats.

Pretty Much Amazing
The Brown brothers may be young, but they rap with the kind of conviction you believe to the core.

HipHopDX

Buzzing Atlanta based duo Rae Sremmurd offer more than enough reason to wild out on their Interscope debut SremmLife.

Exclaim!
This is Snapchat-raised turn-up music, trendy and self-actualizing through its references to memes that come quick as they go.

Crack Magazine

Ultimately, Rae Stremmurd’s victory feels a bit like being woken up by a house party next door. You can either lie awake and groan with resentment, or you can roll out of bed, raid the cupboard for booze and go join in on the fun.

SPIN

As a whole, SremmLife brims with potential; it's clear with each breath that Slim and Swae are hungry.

It is strange how as I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned to love this album more. As a kid I thought these guys absolutely sucked. This album literally slaps front to back

Wow Rae Sremmurd at the beginning were actually just incredibly annoying... Huh. I feel like the more they continued the better their projects became. However, the fourth installment of "SremmLife" isn't really shaping up in the best way possible...

When I pretend orgasm I do something more audible than this album

Relistened to this today, was a go to project throughout my 5th grade life and man did it hold up. I don't know if it's all cause of nostalgia but man so many of these tracks are genuine classics and even the ones that aren't don't feel filler, they all hit in their own way. Genuinely a classic and great trap album deserving of more flowers.
