It doesn’t take much to decipher the themes Bristol’s Spectres are exploring on their debut album. The 10 songs on ‘Dying’ are as troubling as the disfigured face that adorns its sleeve.

It's a noisy little beast that will leave you feeling somewhat battered, disorientated, but actually, the stink of the corpse of rock has never sounded so good.

If the title and cover don’t quite get the message across, let me be clear: This album wants nothing more than to unsettle you in your easy chair. The opening track “Drag” features a minute of disparate noise not unlike something you’d hear coming from a slaughter house run by Mike Patton.
