CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

The album is a mean cocktail of the band’s notable stage energy thrown into the studio and spit out in a rowdy, flying-by-the-seat-of-its-pants sound.

PITCHFORK

Almost none of the decadence on Divine Providence sounds like any fun at all, nor is it self-aware enough to serve as some sort of cautionary tale.
