Girlpool’s Before The World Was Big is, in my opinion, a bloated (even for its runtime) and run of the mill indie record with a lack of any unique qualities and catchy/likable tunes.
I just don’t really see or feel that there is anything that Girlpool does on this album that is unique or amazing. I enjoy the more mellow tracks on the album, but I feel I am consistently repulsed by the vocals as they become annoying really quickly.
