This album marked a major turning point for the band. The instrumentation is way more fleshed out, the production is more clear, and the songs themselves take a more flamboyant approach. Kevin's songwriting has gotten way more ambitious as well with all these interesting progressions and just more overall flavour. All these improvements in their sound really set of Montreal for quite the career.
