PITCHFORK

Headcage shakes off the late-night jitters for a sound so airy it threatens to evaporate into murmurs and empty space.

BEATS PER MINUTE

Even though Headcage has a pair of iffy tracks to weigh down two good – if not great – tracks, the whole EP sits in a generally favourable position in my view.

FACT MAGAZINE

While this EP showcases some interesting ideas, even its best moments fall short of his work as Audion or False.

50
NO RIPCORD

When this EP gets it right, it is a triumphant nod to Dear’s versatile ear, but when it settles for being weird for the sake of it, it’s simply messy.
