Clash
The focus from all concerned makes the convincingly grisly fiction a lot of fun.

The Line of Best Fit

Twelve Reasons to Die II suggests that breaking new ground might be a futile undertaking if there's this much juice left in the good old tricks.

NME
Arguably Wu-Tang's most talented MC: his third album in as many years shows he’s on a streak that’s both prolific and high quality.
75
The 405
The graphic and colourful mythology of power, loyalty and revenge fuses sharply with the operatic score and live instrumentation presented by producer/composer Younge, who provides an eerie framework for Ghostface's violently vivid and often literal storytelling.

Pitchfork

If there is to be a TRTD III, hopefully it embraces the format and flow of this record.

HipHopDX

While Ghost can tell a story and his skills are sharp, he’s sounded far more at home on this past winter’s Sour Soul LP with Hip Hop jazz band BadBadNotGood.

Exclaim!

In the future, Ghost should do more of that heavy lifting, taking a cue from producer Adrian Younge, who provides his signature analogue flavour to sumptuous effect throughout.

Consequence of Sound
It sometimes goes down a little too easy. It’s not that I expect a pulpy horror album to be as frightening or even as violent as a pulpy horror movie, but when everything comes wrapped in Younge’s head-leaning soul grooves, the music suddenly trades in nastiness for coolness.
60
The Skinny
Though equal parts soulful and silly, Part Two still gets weighed down in stage blood.
55
Under the Radar

While this prolific streak has coincided with some of Ghostface's best work since Fischscale, this sequel record may signal a loss of steam.

Best part of each new Ghostface Killah album is the bit of surprise where you don't know what he'll be serving up next, but Twelve Reasons II takes away most of the suspense and just tells you straight up,

It's another one of what he already did. Plain and simple.

It doesn't hit nearly as well this time, with only Get The Money making a dent.. and, honestly, that's mostly cause of Vince riding the beat better. The story here is yawnsville, doesn't do enough as Twelve Reasons or 36 Seasons ... read more

Another concept album, and a direct sequel to 12 Reasons to Die, taking place directly after. Although, it doesn't outdo the original, it definitely lives up. The story itself is a bit less dramatic and eventful than the original. Its almost like a mixture of 12RTD and 36 Seasons, it has the replayability from 36 Seasons, while keeping the grand story of 12RTD. The one track im not big on from this record is Death's Invitation. Each verse is kinda lyrical miracle. Just fast rapping with mid ... read more
