Somehow, amidst all the rigid architecture, Errors have conjured up something utterly organic in nature, but skin-tight in direction.
They have produced an impressive album, one which reveals as much on its tenth listen as on its first
An album to enjoyed thoroughly for a brief period of time but then ultimately forgotten about.
Like any good conjuror, they’ve learnt that the best magic isn’t dark sorcery, but wowing your audience so much that they’re beaming with disbelief.
Have Some Faith In Magic is not perfect, however, and suffers slightly from a meandering second half after bursting out the traps with ferocity, settling for a gentler pace.
Have Some Faith in Magic will not be spawning the next crossover hit, but it’s still a pop record in the feeling and influence it evokes.
Yes, there’s experimentation, yes, it takes some listening to, but once those melodies start making sense in your head, boy does this album become one to stick with.
