It’s clear that if New York’s long-delayed underground-rap renaissance is going to happen anytime soon, it has to involve this guy.
It's a no-fuss, traditional mixtape full of solid features (Danny Brown, Action Bronson, and Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire) and some terrific production, all credited to Heems' childhood friend Mike Finito.
Heems took this solo opportunity and ran with it, giving the fan base a closer look at his individual part of the Das Racist ethos
Boil it down to about eleven tracks and it’s one of the top hip-hop records of the last few years.
