Consequence of Sound

His insistence on frustrating and playing with expectations is often downright funny, if not antagonistic.

No Ripcord

More quickly than you’d expect, Busdriver’s quirks become endearing; his cartoonish vocal stretches to reach those high notes become normalised and you begin to appreciate how much heart he puts into his singing.

PopMatters

There isn’t much else on the hip-hop scene like this, even as new and emerging artists in the hip-hop scene continue to put out incredibly innovative stuff.

This is exactly the type of shit that's made because of Kanye's 808s. Busdriver tries his hand at blending his usual style of hip hop with art pop. The worst part is that he's singing a lot more on here. The production for the most part is really creative, but everything from the subject matter to the vocals turned out to be incredibly obnoxious.
