an hour of pure eu-
phoria, is extremely
comforting like a

hot cup of coffee
in a snowy day, jumping
into the pool on

a hot summer time,
talking a walk through wither-
-ing trees in autumn

plucking fresh fruits off
and eating them (at) once in spring
simple things in life

many believe ‘bloom’ to be the best dream pop album in 20 years. it is ethereal, progressive, far reaching, journey like, and peaceful. it’s unheard of to have an album such as this; it’s been done by few aside from Cocteau twins.

in “the hours”, Victoria treats time like a landscape and refers to it as if it’s a traveling area. “the hours” magically subsists as a sleeper hit, the most underestimated song on ‘Bloom’. < i ... read more

Few albums will ever be as easy to get lost in as Bloom. This album exists in a way that you can just turn everything else off, stop worrying about everything happening in your life and in the world, and just let the gorgeous and gentle waves of sound carry you off into a state of bliss.

I went on a walk while blasting this album and has a wholesome interaction with a cute little hedgehog, the music made it even better

Pt. 7 of a big album swap with the homie @TheSuds, where I will be going through their top 42 favorite albums that I haven't heard yet.

Today we got Beach House Bloom, a project that I've seen get talked about a lot, but never really checked out. I've heard the band's biggest hits, and their newest EP "Become", that's about it. And while I liked the ... read more

I've been wanting to hear this for so long, finally that day has come!

Beach House's 4th album Bloom was released in May 2012.
It was recorded throughout 2011 at Sonic Ranch in Texas.

It was a huge success for the duo, reaching No. 7 in the Billboard 200 after 41k copies in its first week and is considered one of the best albums in the Dream pop genre.

Written "between countless sound checks and myriad experiences during two years of tour", Bloom is quite a heavenly experience from ... read more

EDIT: This is now my favorite album of all time.

Every time I listen to Bloom, I am more amazed at how a human was able to make these songs.

To me, this album captures a special emotion that is hard to illicit. It is the feeling of lonely comfort. The feeling that you are all by yourself, yet you are satisfied. You are happy. You are thankful for your life, what you have, the relationships with other people, yet you're alone. And it's beautiful. When you can't get a hard-hitting argument or a ... read more

I've realized that writing out exactly what makes this album so fantastic is quite difficult to do. I've seen some people say that it is one of the most sonically beautiful albums they've heard, that it is very immersive in its atmospheres, that it carries people into states of bliss, and many more things, all of which I think are true. However, I believe that what makes Beach House's Bloom such a timeless and unique record is a combination of everything that people mention when praising this ... read more

The flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, and this album sounds amazing

Another very solid release from Beach House. There Is still something holding me back from absolutely loving this, but I still really enjoy it. Lazuli I think is a perfect song, with it just being memorable, and absolutely gorgeous. The closing track is another fantastic ending, even though there is like 8 minutes of silence lol. This album is just really nice to listen to, and it is indeed an experience. I put on ... read more

Diving into the dreamy world of 'Bloom' I felt truly connected to the music Beach House does. The artwork of this record culminates my exact feelings towards this incredible album, a plaque full of holes, a state of complete hollowness and yet being totally & cruely full. This one is probably one of the most immersive albums I've ever heard in my life, it completely transports you to places only GREAT songs can go. Throughout the album you get the feeling that everything is so sweet yet ... read more

Thanks @UltimateLifeFrm for recommending me this masterpiece

Bloom is another album from Beach House that I can say is a masterpiece, and a little bit better than Depression Cherry. Bloom is a blissful amazing experience with fantastic singing a lot of passion and great songwriting. Production is also great with some catchy melodies but the instrumentals are not mind-blowing tbh. But still, this is an album with a lot of passion and heart put in this album.

Holy shit is this album gorgeous, every tone here is absolute perfection and that bliss that this album throws me in right from the start is among one of the most satisfying feelings i'e ever had with music. This isn't just a Dream Pop album, it's THE Dream Pop album. The vocals are extremely fitting in this album, moreso than any other Beach House release that i've listened to.
As much as i love those perfect tones and the vocals, what really makes this album amazing is the deepness it finds ... read more

I’m confident in saying that Beach House’s 2012 album “Bloom” is the greatest dream-pop album ever made. This album is almost like a crash course in what to do right in atmosphere, mood, and lyrical delivery. This album starts off with one of my favorite songs of all time “Myth” which is ushered in with what sounds like a shaker and and bell before this swirling gorgeous guitar melody comes in and practically transports you to another planet with how distant ... read more

I wanna say before I start this review that I feel like I’ve put too little effort into a lot of my reviews lately considering I have over 650 followers. I wanna feel like I deserve that amount, so I’ll try to make better, more detailed reviews from now on. Nothing like other users but hey ho.

Mmk. So I already heard a Beach House record, that being ‘7’, which I wasn’t too fond of because it bored me. That was a while ago though, so I thought that maybe I’d ... read more

because beach house is so unique, i get a little nervous that their LPs are going to be very repetitive. but this record showed me that my thought was untrue. bloom is one of the true pop gems of the 2010's, it has some extremely hypnotic production, giving a total aura that is felt while listening to this album. i'm not usually too big on pop music because most of it is watered down, top 40 trash. but beach house has taken the genre as their own, and redefined what it means to make pop ... read more

WOW. Holy fucking shit, how have I put this off for so long, this is immaculate. I really loved Teen Dream, gorgeous sounds even if the vocal style took some time to grow on me, but this thing honestly just blew my mind. From the opening moments of myth I just felt myself completely invested in the atmosphere of this, it’s so entrancing, even more so than Teen Dream. It changes a bit occasionally, like going more electronic and synthy on later tracks, but it never quite gets out of this ... read more

I never expected Beach House of all bands to out-do GY!BE at the whole "yeah, we're just gonna leave in three minutes of complete and utter silence, because why the hell not" thing.

Apart from those five or so minutes in the middle of Irene, Bloom is yet another detailed and dreamy album by Beach House, who's sound I've fallen in love with after their stellar 2010 release, Teen Dream. Songs like Myth, Lazuli and New Year in particular stuck out to me as all enveloping in a way that ... read more
