Therein lies the key to approaching Heady Fwends: What at first seems rather silly actually proves to be quite purposeful.

Beats Per Minute

The triumph of Heady Fwends lies the way it sands off the rough edges off 2011’s excess and whittles an honest, enjoyable set out of the mire while coaxing a wealth of unexpected voices into the fray without losing its way.

When you break it all down, the Flaming Lips seemed to have stopped giving a damn, and it’s a wonderful thing to behold

It's hard to believe that an album with this many guest stars would turn out to be pretty consistent and just so damn fun. Ke$ha's track is by far my favourite on here. I don't care how novelty this is, it's a well done collaborative album.

Favourite tracks: 2012 (You Must Be Upgraded), Ashes in the Air, Do It!
