CRITIC REVIEWS

70
NO RIPCORD

After a fairly extended period of quiet hype, Clock Opera have delivered a debut which, just about, delivers.

70
CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

Whether on stage or on record, Clock Opera’s brand of mutilated pop music shimmers as a genuinely profound musical experience.

67
BEATS PER MINUTE

The majority of the album is spent either on its way to something bigger, or with the band letting rip in a manner that’s not always as electrifying as one could hope.

40
DROWNED IN SOUND

Ways To Forget neither meticulously contorts melody and rhythms with the tightly coiled energy of someone like Errors, nor does he use his heavily layered synth effects to explore texture.

20
NME

If you’re vapid enough to buy into anything this pointless waste of a beard meows into his distortion pedal, you should probably never watch the film Up as you might find it a bit much.
