CRITIC REVIEWS

70
The 405

As a standalone EP, Sod in the Seed has a structure which befits the complexity of the lyrical content in earlier WHY? records.

60
Under The Radar

This short EP feels like a tease, but its quality points in a positive direction for the full-length coming just around the corner.

60
Consequence of Sound

Sod in the Seed opens and closes strong, sags in the middle, and succeeds in driving the demand for even more Why? material.

52
Pitchfork

While Sod in the Seed EP picks up where WHY? left off, it sounds like a regression rather than a rightful claim to what's theirs.

Standard Why? and as expected, falls just short of warranting worship The track with which the EP was named is absolutely mindblowing and so god damn fucking catchy it will be implanted into your brain and it will never leave until you skip work/school and ruin your life just to listen to it.
