Vitalic’s third album retreads the same gleefully maximal path as the records that came before it.

Vitalic's skill of knowing exactly when to drop in an almighty bassline or effect means that he remains adept at achieving a state of euphoria in four minutes.

Rave Age may be the album that catapults him into that superstar DJ stratosphere, it’s just a shame that it would be with his weakest album yet.

Rave Age is an awkward half-step in a couple directions for Vitalic.

The closer you listen to the wobbly hip-hop textures, overly-busy techno, and generic dark ambience, the less the album needs to exist.
