In terms of its complexity and level of skill on display Breakthrough is a big step up for Bensussen.

It's the album that gets at his recent creative mode most definitively, the one people might figure he had in him rather than the one that changed anybody's minds about him.

Gaslamp’s debut might be a bit too arcane for mass adoration, thus keeping it off the radar.

The dark is where GLK chooses to excel. Given the opportunity, the producer will bring us all deep underground with him.

This is a record that should almost lull you into an on going daze, yet too often it grabs your attention with unwanted brashness.
