Tori applies her conceptual ideas to holiday classics resulting in a collection that ruins everything that makes these sort of songs special or engaging. Her vocals on this record like on many of her albums post 2000 sound so forced that besides the new arrangements cause the songs to become completely unfamiliar. Not bad, as Christmas albums go, and Amos has at least tried to do something a bit different by combining her own compositions (Winter's Carol being the obvious highlight) with traditional carols. She loses considerable marks, however, for that appalling photo-shopped front cover.
