This one sounded too put-together, I don't wan't to say contrived, but like a guy at a party begged to break out his guitar who reluctantly plays.
An album that surprised me. When I first heard "satellites" it seemed to dark for me and yet I was intrigued. The screeching guitar at the beginning just grabs you, while he then brings it all down and plays a soft, Jeff Buckley almost like riff. Songs like "Tell Me You Don't Love Me watching" and "Let's Get Away from Here" remind me of the "Candy Says" or "Pale Blue Eyes" by the Velvet Underground in all the right ways.
