An altogether more slinky record but, at times it veers surprisingly close to pure pop territory.
At no point across the 40 minutes does it seem as though Delphic really care about the songs they’re producing so much as the manner in which they’re produced: all their focus has gone into polishing the tracks rather than writing them.
Delphic should be commended for not adhering to the New Wave-aping path that so many of its peers take, but in this instance the path less trod hasn’t turned out to be the best choice.
