It’s not an album that immediately reveals itself, but when it lets you in it’s hard to find your way out.
If this is the aftershock that chillwave wrought, you have to suspect the whole shazam was totally worthwhile.
Untogether is less interested in blending all its competing enthusiasms together and more intent on emphasizing the space that separates them

Untogether is a well executed record, but not a stunning one.
Untogether is meant for those cold, murky nights in which we feel completely and utterly alone.
While ‘Untogether’ is immaculately put together, it does take a while to cross over and connect with you.

I love their recent stuff but I can't vibe with this album (or their first EP). But there's definitely some nice songs in here.
Favorites: Try to Be and In Two.
The common picture of an electronic duo that presents its ideal version of the kitchen sink drama.
And it has its moments!
I had to listen more than 5 times to capture all the beauty here, is definitively a difficult album, but when you see underneath, you really see a amanzing and breath taking album.
