You can still hear traces of other bands here, but Mazes' sound now is more an idiosyncratic hybrid than an enthusiastic photocopy.
To follow a critically and publicly popular debut with something not only different but also less accessible and immediate is ambitious, brave, and worthy of respect in itself.
Maturity is nice, but is it wrong to want the fun times back?
The intro track kinda goes off, with its progressive intro and catchy refrains. But the rest kinda devolves into tried and true post-punk tinged indie rock with little to no discernible qualities.
