Simply put, the release is a rip-roaring riot of instinctual, swaggering rock, and as far as that particular aesthetic goes, it’s the album to beat in 2013.
One of the more entertaining displays this year of alternative rock tinged with grunge, Southern rock, and 80's hard rock. It charges forward like a stampede, and tosses listeners onto a horse to ride with them. It's refreshing, since so many similar acts prefer to let their albums trample listeners into unhappy pulps. I'd much rather ride on into the storm.
