Dormarion should leave returning fans satisfied and new listeners hooked as Lerner continues to refine his skills and churn out strong albums.
The songwriting is sharp, the tunes memorable, and the spirit there in droves. But, for better or worse, new ground is not paved.
Telekinesis’ third album Dormarion is Lerner’s best, most bountifiul to date.
Dormarion never strays from Telekinesis’ rock blueprint too long, and retains quite a few agreeable cuts of uncomplicated pop gratification.
With three similar, enjoyable albums of sunny indie rock/power pop under his belt, with Dormarion, Lerner may have reached the end of this particular avenue of sonic exploration.
Telekinesis remains a solo vehicle, but Lerner is beginning to learn how to make fleshed out studio gems instead of one-take bedroom cuts.
It has anything you would want from an Indie Rock album with the plus of having some cool creative moments, if you are eager to consume more of that type of music this might help, if you can not stand Indie Rock and its cliches then the best would be to stay away from this
Overall i enjoyed it but the singing was annoying
