The flaw here is that all these songs together are too much to absorb, but Miller probes deeply without ever coming off as sappy, skillfully weaving through breakups, self-loathing, skipping school, and poor decisions without sticking to his own sadsack introspection.
Miller has done a decent job here; there’s nothing particularly striking or eye-opening about the album or its songs, but their simplicity and Miller’s all-round talent suggest some real promise.
Ultimately, it’s all just too lazy. Yes, I know that’s the point, but this really is slacking overkill.
Don't let the sarcastic song titles fool you, this album is absolutely perfect for snoozing on a lazy weekend afternoon, and I mean that in the best way I can
