NME

Dense, detailed and idiosyncratic, ‘Redemption’ doesn’t slot in neatly next to the tropical beats and minimal pop hits that are currently dominating the charts. But there will always be a place for music as rich as this that dares to be a little different.

AllMusic

Yet another artful and modern amalgamation of machine soul and left-field pop, Redemption is similar to the earlier parts of the trilogy in that it gives the listener a sense of being swept up, though there's little in the way of fantasy or escape here.

Tiny Mix Tapes

Rather than serving as a platform for D∆WN and Machinedrum to hybridize and expand the pop form, Redemption offers ornate, glittering garments, which constrict as they envelop.

Another killer album. The trilogy is amazing.

Like Andy Warhol, Dawn Richard‘s music on “Redemption” argues that there is artistic merit in the songs that we hear without aesthetically considering them.
