I am 100% confident in saying that fans of CuDi will dig this record, as he stays true to himself in all aspects while also hinting at new directions.
It's an entertaining, vibrant, and artistically filling album, so consider it a "presents" effort and enjoy the show.
None of the guest actors here distract from Cudi's signature self-mythologizing and inner turmoil. And most of the time, it's his inner turmoil that beckons you in, rather than merely pushing you out.
Indicud is an ambitious project that Kid Cudi took a blind shot at, and while by no means does he completely exemplify his immortal identity, he certainly makes a compelling case nonetheless.
Indicud won't work for everyone, but if you're a Cudi fan, this album finds him sounding better than he has in some time.
In spite of its brighter outlook, though, Indicud is still a Kid Cudi record, and like its predecessors, it’s a long, unhurried listen, paced like drifting fog.
At it’s best, Indicud delivers catchy, meaningful tunes with a cinematic quality in the way that they’re delivered. However, the album isn’t able to consistently hold this level of gratification over its entire course.
The luscious soundscapes he used to rap over are gone, and the record sounds like a college project put together by a stoned teenager intrigued by industrial noises
Indicud is an at-times very good album, but it’s certainly no 2001. This isn’t because of a lack of ingenuity or creativity on Cudi’s part, but rather because the decision to act as the project’s sole producer didn’t do him any favors.
This record just proves that Kid Cudi has a lot of sorting to do, and continuing down the same old path simply won’t cut it in the long-run.
He looks for war in Indicud; he can't find anyone to fight, but he rages anyway.
THIS MIGHT JUST BE A PERSONAL FAVE BUT DONT CRUCIFY ME JUST YET!!!!
I feel like this is easily Cudi’s most INTRIGUING album. I felt like MOTM was solid but very generic after a while, and the simplistic poppy beats felt like sugar overload sometimes. But here, try or fail, Cudi goes for a more spacious (no pun intended) slow burner filled with exciting ideas even if many of them demand more attention and better execution.

Kid Cudi makes an album with a much more intense sound than his previous albums. It even gets a little experimental with some of these weird beats we see Cudi on. It’s pretty great despite being inconsistent, especially in the second half.
