CRITIC REVIEWS

AllMusic

Even the least memorable tracks will make lots of listeners bob their heads whether they want to or not, since Hands' rhythms are so insistent

PopMatters

All-in-all, Synesthesia is a fine start for Hands. The band benefits from its creativity and most impressively, its unique sound.

Consequence of Sound

Too often, elements of the LP are unrecognizable from that of its competition.

DIY

It's not a game changer, but 'Synesthesia' offers you everything you could possibly need and expect from an indie pop record.

bland and generic car commercial indie pop rock

Blending 80's synths and 90's alt-rock guitar riffs may not be an original idea, but Hands do it as well as any of their contemporaries... plus they bring the hooks. About half of these songs sound like should-be hits.... Hey, if Phoenix can do it, maybe there's hope.
