Drowned in Sound
It’s a self-abusive record that writhes with fury, tightly wound into concise, ugly outbursts of pain.
A.V. Club
It’s the sound of a band fighting through the darkness in order to find something new and sounding emboldened by the process.

Like love, The Incessant is not for the faint of heart, but it's a gripping and deeply personal piece of art and another solid release from this gritty, all-or-nothing trio.

The Guardian
Chicago trio Meat Wave were already purveyors of bracing, pulse-racing feral noise, but for their third album, they’ve also channelled the intensity of The Rat by the Walkmen – all lasering barks, mercuried distortion and taut guitars that squeeze your emotive grapes.
God Is in the TV

The Incessant is an invigorating, passionate and confident-sounding album from a band who deserve a lot more attention than they’ve been afforded in the past.

The Incessant has a wealth of great ideas baked into the sediment of a wholly unremarkable collection of songs but boasts enough personality to still be worth giving the benefit of your doubt.

‘The Incessant’ marks a turning point, as Meat Wave tackle their demons head on.

Très intéressant. Une créativité musicale tout en étant chaotique. À un certain point, ils me font penser à la technique musicale de Subhumans UK (Bad Man) mais en version plus punk garage. Intense.
