From start to finish, it’s a delirious pleasure, even if there’s a weak moment or slip in quality, you’re blind to it as their knack for eternal happiness and glorious melodies distract you.
Had Crystal Fighters not taken their foot of the pedal towards the end, Cave Rave could have been their breakthrough album. Instead, it’s just a very good one.
Overall, these songs are a fine reintroduction to a band that has worked hard to emphasize its strengths and come up with new ones.
Cave Rave serves as proof that staying true to your roots can not only pay off, but also be a hell of a good time.
'Cave Rave' is more of the same from the band; it is not an album of fierce innovation, but a perfect companion for sizzling meat and endless sunsets.
'Cave Rave' is outlandish, silly, summery and as brilliant as its title
Their second album, like their first, halfheartedly dabbles in Balearic folk, but this time out, the New Age bullshit is well and truly front and centre.
Surprisingly enjoyable. The album is filled with loads of fun and enjoyable songs which is just what you expect from this sort of able but you don’t always get it
While their first release had some good innovative approaches, "Cave Rave" is just a monotonous and disturbing Latin-Pop Mash
