[Genre: Comedy]
So... how do I review a comedy album exactly?
Well what I can say is that Flight Of The Conchords is a comedy album that is very satirical in nature and succeeds at having some very funny song concepts most of the time. Some of it I find a bit cringy but some of these lyrics are really funny. Also musically, it's quite catchy and enjoyable too, which is a good thing.
I know this review isn't as high-quality as some of my others but I'm reviewing a comedy album of all things, ... read more
Great
This shit is THE MOTHER FLIPPIN.
Best: Foux du Fafa, Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros, Ladies of the World, Mutha'uckas, The Most Beautiful Girl in the Room
Weakest: Leggy Blonde
Its funny and even when the jokes begin to wear thin, the tracks beneath them are still quality.
Listening to a new album every day: Day 50
Solid. The humor on the songs is good but there are some misses. Feels similar to Rhett and Link. Kind of an underwhelming day 50 but yeah.
I have no idea how to rate a comedy album since it's so different than normal albums but one thing they can all share is enjoyment, and you bet your damn ass I enjoyed this. I'm a fan of the TV show for many years and didn't realise this actually came first, but I was familiar with all the songs here (sad they don't have "If You're Into It" on this album (just on their first EP) as that's probably my favourite track, but there's many highlights here - Hiphopopotamus vs. Rhymenoceros, ... read more
Flight of the conchords are the posterchild of comedy music. The tunes are catchy and the lyrics are great satire. That being said, these songs sound better on their own then together as an album. It feels steral when you put them back to back. This album has some of their best cuts and some of their worst cuts.

It's well known that Presbyterian ladies are even more exotic than amphibian ones
You ever hear one of those albums that just makes you appreciate life and want to be a better person? Yeah.
Hard to compare this one to anything else. It's a comedy music album where the songs themself are very well done. The comedy works and the music works. I find it very impressive that they wrote most of these half a decade before their show was created, and thought up ways to give context to their goofy art. I love Flight of the Conchords and hope they make some more music at some point in the near future.

Although the album doesn’t push any boundaries, it uses catchy pop and rock wonderfully to make funny, self-deprecating classics in whatever genre its trying to stick to. I can get behind comedy music if it’s—ya know, funny—which this absolutely is. Definitely the best thing to come out of New Zealand.
Not only does its satire and 2000’s-edginess hold up, but the silly usage of acoustic and electric instrumentation shows a lot of talent that complements the absurd ... read more
