With her captivating vocal tones and iconic hip swiveling beats Shakira is not capable of creating a disappointing album and El Dorado most certainly does not disappoint.
The only thing absent from her bag of tricks is a bit of arena rock, but it's not missed because El Dorado feels coherent and mature in its understated -- but not boring -- control of mood.

With her latest album so far (until next week) Shakira was able to see a huge commercial reception in Latin America by joining the Reggaeton trend that's been going on for more than a decade at this point, though not as great as her previous albums I don't think this was a terrible release for Shakira, it's a fine album with some catchy tunes and great ballads.
Highlights: Chantaje, La Bicicleta, Toneladas & Perro Fiel.
