This album is overlong and occasionally cringe-worthy ("Accidental Racist" in particular) but the highlights are surprisingly pleasant. The just-about left-of-center "Southern Comfort Zone" is at times a retread on the same stereotypes Paisley's been hawking for years but the melodies soar and the production is impeccable. Never had felt so applicable here.
"Accidental Racist" may be the worst song ever created and I cannot in good conscience rate this album higher than 30.
It's like enjoying a 5 course meal but then your waiter hands you a plate of poop...
