Despite the list of guest names, Innocents is certainly a good example of the trademark Moby sound.
Moby teams up with another producer to make a record here for the first time, and he makes what you would expect him to make. This album definitely sounds like Moby and it drags a little. This is still really good though, the grand orchestral instrumentation here helps to convey lots of emotion and the guests are very well implemented, it just doesn’t hold up as much as most of his other stuff for me. A solid and cohesive project.
