Hall Of Fame moves along at a steady pace for the most part, but there are instances where Sean can’t quite find the proper footing.
While Hall of Fame offers up plenty of these vibrant, exciting moments, that "classic feel" is nowhere to be found.
Unguarded emotions are all over Hall of Fame, and the result is more affecting than anti-Sean cynics are probably willing to admit.
Two official studio-albums into his career and Sean hasn’t made himself a lock to be enshrined anywhere. But Hall of Fame, in addition to its many virtues and limited flaws, makes the case for the possibility that he may someday at least be on the ballot.
Big Sean, overall, is a prime example of an overheated artist. Starting off, this seems like much more of a fun album than a lyrical album. That's not usually a good thing in my opinion, but it ended up being around an average album.
This is really the time Big Sean improved a lot in terms of his rapping, sure you still had some corny Big Sean lines on here. But it doesn't really ruin it for me.
I can’t lie, I really like this album.
