"Paranormal" has few thrills and plays it too safe for an Alice Cooper record. It's not bad by any means, but it's not great either. "Rats" and "The Sound of A" are the only great tracks off of the album. The remainder all sound indistinguishable from each other and don't stand out in any way. This album is the definition of ‘good enough’. Some really good classic Alice songs, like the creepy opener Paranormal and the heavy Fireball. Its unfortunate then that the middle of this album feels really like filler, and for such a short album, every song really needs to be hitting it out of the park.
