As striking as it is beautiful, on A Brief Introduction to Unnatural Light Years Oliver Wilde has crafted something truly unique.
Smashing debut from Oliver Wilde. Stunningly gorgeous, this record left me speechless. Reminds me of the first time I heard James Blake. Wilde is definitely an artist to keep an eye on.
Excellent debut. Oliver Wilde kinda scratches that Grizzly Bear/Tame Impala itch and then mixes in a bit of Real Estate's twangy wistfulness for good measure without explicitly sounding too much like any of them.
Somehow these guys only have about 850 listeners on Last.fm... Did they just burst fully formed out of the ether and release an LP or something?
Anyway, give it a listen... I don't think too many people will be disappointed with this one.
