See You There isn’t a record in the highest echelons of this year’s releases, and it’s a far cry from the perfection of, say, the similarly heartbreaking Electro-Shock Blues, but it’s a genuinely heartfelt and moving, if slightly patchy, record.
See You There is still quite a marvelous record with many more peaks than valleys.
See You There may turn out to be Glen Campbell’s swansong and, if that is the case, it’s a fair testimony to the man.
No matter how carefully constructed this whole enterprise is, See You There doesn't carry the same weight as Ghost on the Canvas. That felt like a fitting coda to a career; this feels like an afterthought.
