i heard from someone that metallica used this record as influence for their legendary project "master of puppets," but after hearing this mess i think i was lied to.
Don’t know what they were thinking making this album, ik they like their influences but doing generic ripoffs of their favorite bands without understanding what made them so great, and ripping them just for the sake of giving “winks” to their heroes doesn’t make it a good album. This is as bland as it gets, even the production isn’t as great as in other albums of theirs. Fortunately, the next album didn’t follow this direction so thank goodness it didn’t
At this point just make a covers album, the songs are shameless Metallica rip-offs, which are perfectly fine and there's nothing bad about them, in fact if the songs here were just covers there would be some merit to it, but come on, being A7X you don't just make and release an """""""original""""""" album like this without any subtext, it's a terrible and dirty move.
