65daysofstatic don’t need to prove themselves when it comes to providing suitably sky-scraping climaxes but the closing arguments that populate Wild Light carry significant weight thanks to the restraint that precedes them.
In the days of MP3 tracks, 65daysofstatic have made what might be classed as an old-school album. It’s a story (almost cinematic), a journey, and far and away the greatest album they’ve done so far.
This is a solid addition to their jaw-dropping canon, proving that there's plenty more on offer from 65daysofstatic, and that they can take an ailing genre like post-rock and, with a dash of pizazz, make it the most bewitching thing on the planet.
Wild Light as a whole represents the band’s most ambitious work to date; it’s a meticulously crafted and admirably complex record from a band that are constantly thrilling in their unpredictability.
Another nostalgic album for me revisited. And honestly, sometimes I realise my old taste wasn't half bad. I love the sound of this, being very glitchy electronic post-rock with some added spaciness, it's really really cool. It can be a bit lacking, but it still has its moments. Good album!

This album is certainly far from bad but it doesn't feel as large as it could be, and it feels more standard that the insane heights this band reached on ... read more
