Motorhead got a pass for turning out the same album year after year, but when a bloated 47-minute work like Aftershock comes on, they're turning what's normally a pleasure into a chore. The first two tracks ring classic Motorhead and "Lost Woman Blues" is a welcome breather from the band's usual flair, but the lot that follows is mighty forgettable. Their saving grace is that they're still Motorhead, and Motorhead rules.
I remember when Coup De Grace & End of Time came out it was the first time I ever needed that scrunched up face meme
