After a few more listens, I bumped up the score. Very nice set up and songflow, with some comparisons with The National being easily recognized but differing with more experimental structure which ends up being exciting and wanting more.

To appreciate Ellis Ludwig-Leone's "San Fermin" you have to have a head for chamber pop. And, for those of us drawn to chamber pop, we know that there is a distinct level of sophistication to the sound, the style, and to the groove overall. San Fermin catches this in their self-titled debut. The occasional brass and classical piano richly heightens many of the songs on this CD.
