
After The Hold Steady's disappointing 2010 release, Heaven Is Whenever, it was a bit of fresh air to hear that Craig Finn was going to try his hand at a solo album. He is set to release Clear Heart Full Eyes next Tuesday, and it is meant to be even more focused on songwriting and vocals than your typical Hold Steady record. We can now judge for ourselves whether this was the right move as NPR is currently streaming the album in full. Give it a listen and let us know what you think.
