Madvillain - Madvillainy

Madvillainy is for me the best hip hop album of all time. It's the culmination of abstract and experimental hip hop, a twenty-two track journey that never becomes tiring in any way, and just gets more invigorating and compelling instead. MF Doom's very easy-going delivery here fits Madlib's production like a glove, and MF Doom comes through as an incredible lyricist and an incredibly interesting figure in this album. There isn't an album quite like this one, and it's the only perfect hip hop album in my opinion, even in spite of some tracks being quite underwhelming. An essential album for those who are hip hop fans and for those who want to get into experimental and abstract hip hop.
