Drip Season 3 holds value, without question. However, if Gunna wants to be remembered for anything more than riding trap music’s popularity, he’ll need to find the balance that personalizes his own artistry without question.
This is by far the best of any of the 4 Drip Season projects and one of Gunna's best projects in general. It still has quite a few songs where he sounds very bored, but it also has a good handful of bangers as well.
Favorite tracks: Drippin', Top Off, Pedestrian, Car Sick, No Joke
Least favorite: Money Don't Change You
Gunna's most consistent project; With fun beats, catchy chorus', and so many memorable lines & tracks, DS3 is a trap mixtape classic first of all but also incredibly enjoyable. Every feature does great on this album, and it gets an 80 because I know ~80% of the chorus' on this whole album. Not too many albums in or out of trap can receive this compliment, so thanks Gunna for this fun project.
Gunna's third installment in his Drip Season series of albums was recommended to me by a friend of mine (the same friend who got me into Nav) so out of genuine curiosity and interest I decided to listen to this mixtape after not really enjoying DS4EVER hoping for something way better and to my surprise this was actually sorta kinda enjoyable.
