Sonder is a superb record that TesseracT can take much pride in. Its constant ability to maneuver in technicality and provide captivating song structure is to be applauded.
They continue to set themselves apart from their modern prog metal counterparts with Sonder, continuing a confident push into quieter spaces.
Sonder is a logical next step for TesseracT, one that stands on par with anything they've previously released, yet evidences more authority, musical restlessness, and sonic multi-dimensionality than anything in their previous catalog.
To be blunt, Tesseract are entirely too reliant on ambiance as their "secret sauce." Not a single second feels wasted, my only complain would be that it's too short I guess.
Prior to this I only heard their album "Altered State" with a different vocalist and I always thought that they had a super ... read more
